Tonight we got another episode of The Office that gives me hope that the show can continue successfully without Steve Carell. Sure, it was predictable, and formulaic, and, yeah, kind of cheesy, but it mostly worked. However, although both episodes of Season Eight so far have been cute and entertaining, neither one has been terribly funny per se, and this certainly is cause for concern over the show's future. While there have been humorous moments, and I've gotten a few chuckles here and there, the comedy has definitely not been on par with previous seasons, and "cute" can only sustain a sitcom but for so long.
