This really wasn't a remake but it was good. It was more of a prequel to show us how we came to loose control of our planet to the apes gradually thru the years...or at least that's how I saw it.
I thought the movie was very well done. James Franco was great and the Chimp was awesome.
If only all remakes were as good as this one.
