Sean examines the role of an editor for filmmakers starting out and what to look for in a good one!
Dark Matter Review: Although some of its runtime might be quite dense, there are moments in this sci-fi series that leaves you at the edge of your seat.
Down The Rabbit Hole Review: The movie has few, if any, moments that make you laugh, and it feels like it was rushing to its conclusion.
Beautiful Rebel Review: Biography on Gianna Nannini's life is a hit and a miss.
I agree that editing is an artform and much more than the tools used...however, Final Cut Pro X is nearly un-workable. I've been a video editor for several years (it's what I studied in college) and I've been a Final Cut supporter pretty much the whole time. Yet X was so terrible I had to switch over to Premiere just so I could finish up a project I was working on. I couldn't do any of the things I needed/wanted to do. The tools just weren't there.
I'm hoping they fix it, because I'd hate for Final Cut to disappear altogether.
