Entertainment Focus - Review: Beastly

Kyle (Alex Pettyfer – I Am Number Four) is a spoilt rich kid who has never had to work hard for anything in life, especially being popular at school. He chooses to pick on a quiet and slightly weird loner named Kendra (Mary-Kate Olsen – New York Minute) who subsequently casts a wicked spell on him. He starts to feel dizzy and before long he has turned into a disfigured “beast” forced to live in hiding. No one can offer a medical explanation as to what’s happened to Kyle so his father promptly ships him off to a house on the outskirts of the city with only a blind live-in tutor (Neil Patrick Harris - How I Met Your Mother) and a maid for company. Enter Lindy (Vanessa Hudgens – High School Musical), a girl who might just be able to see Kyle for the person he really is and in the process, change his life forever. But if Kyle cannot find someone to say “I love you” to him before the year is out, he will stay disfigured forever.
