This updated version, staring Guy Peirce and Katie Holmes, is about Alex Hirst (Peirce) and his daughter Sally (Bailee Madison) who has come to live him and his girlfriend Kim (Holmes). They are a couple of architects who are trying to restore an old gothic mansion. Little do any of them know of the mansions dark history."
