Carey Mulligan is set to star in Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn's I Walk With The Dead. As a sex thriller with plenty of sex planned to be put in it, let's hope it's more Basic Instinct than Basic Instinct 2. Refn's latest film is set to hit theaters on September 16 and is entitled Drive. It stars Ryan Gosling and is about a Hollywood stunt performer, who moonlights in a profession less than legal, that then discovers a contract has been put out on him after a heist gone wrong.

last year at Cannes, following the premiere of his divisive "Only God Forgives," trying to get any information out of him about his brewing horror film "I Walk With The Dead" was a challenge. And when it was reported last fall that the project was bringing on a screenwriter, we figured it was probably a bit of a way off. But now over seven months later, Refn has announced the picture will be his next, and we couldn't be more excited.
The director made use of his infrequent Twitter account to drop the news (see below), so what do we know about it? Well, writer Polly Stenham says it's an "all-female horror" and one that hopes to recalibrate the opinion of those that think Refn doesn't care much for the women in his films. “He’s got a lot of stick for doing films some people think are violently misogynistic,” she said. “So he approached me with the idea of doing something different.”
CB - When I talked to Carey Mulligan a year ago doing roundtable interviews for An Education, she could still reasonably pass as the wide-eyed neophyte. The relationship with Shia LaBeouf had just started, the Oscar nomination was yet to come, and though she had filmed Never Let Me Go, at the time it was just a Keira Knightley vehicle with two unknowns cast as leads alongside her.

“An Education” star Carey Mulligan is in negotiations to climb into the passenger seat of the Universal action thriller “Drive,” which already has Ryan Gosling at the wheel. “Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston is also negotiating to join the cast.
Needless to say, a mulligan would be an awkward thing while filming a sex scene.
