IGN: So this is where Walt turns stupid. He's in deep doo-doo, all he has to do is stop digging himself into a hole and accept his situation, and he can't.
There's two really easy ways to make a character unsympathetic: 1) he makes decisions that make logical sense, but aren't rational or helpful to anyone and 2) when he gets defensive, he attacks other people. In "Thirty Eight Snub," we're seeing both. The entire show has revolved around Walt to this point and it's paying off wonderfully. Just as he's about to hit his peak in power, he's going to lose the audience.
