More Details on The Amazing Spider-Man's Lizard

Coming Soon says:

Comic-Con 2011 may have hit its biggest reveal today with the first footage of The Amazing Spider-Man's central villain, the Lizard in Hall H.

One of Spider-Man's earliest villains in the comics, the character, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, made his first appearance in "The Amazing Spider-Man" #6. A herpetologist, Dr. Curt Connors inadvertently transformed himself into the reptilian beast while trying to re-grow a missing arm.

In the footage, we see Rhys Ifans talking to Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) class about his studies to do exactly that. He's working for Oscorp and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) appears to be his lab assistant.

That is so awesome, can't wait to see the clip!

However Rhys Ifans is getting a lot of heat for his idiotic "I hate america" rampage at Comic-Con....

Crazay4653d ago

I heard something about that. Got tossed in jail too I think?

Yeah he shoved a "security guard" that wouldn't let his "crew" backstage at Comic con. That in itself I would be on his side. The things I attend being a journalist and what not I know how much of a pain in the ass these guys are. They think they are cops when in reality they have no authority at all.

However once he got arrested he started chanting how bad America sucks and he never wants to come back yatta yatta. Anybody that knows anything about America knows you don't do that, period.

Found a couple of very low-quality leaked images.

If the images are legit, then he does have a fair snout, which seemed quite controversial when information about the trailer was out.
