Nah I'm not. Some people are super smart, and don't really need high school. They have the ambition and capabilities to do what they want and to go get it.

This though...its like MTV set a flyer out and said "we want the most stupid people you could find" and then filmed them. I TRIED to watch something with them in it, but they are so dumb that it honestly irritates me...The odd thing is I've seen some of them outside of the show and they were not "that" stupid (with the exception of the orange girl and that douchy looking dude) and the fact they are acting is probably why it bothers me.

I was watching NY Ink and he had to tattoo a snobby girl from the show, and he hates the show and didn't put up with her snobby attitude at all. I am now a fan of NY Ink haha.

I watched jersey shore before, and I will watch this one. Why? Well I think they have some humour to them, in a sick pathetic way. On paper it is the most pathetic thing, but it actually has some entertainment value, the sad part are the fans of jersey shore that talk about the episodes the next day in class.

Talk about raping a company of it's tradition, heritage and self respect. Italy will never be the same again. It shocks and appalls me that this show still can pull in enough viewers for them to make a forth season. It's essentially a soap opera wrapped up in a reality tv cover.

You said it. I listened to a commentary yesterday about how on average America has become more educated than ever yet people are dumber than they ever have been. The speaker cited specific examples, this show wasn't one of them but should have been, to illustrate the point.

Hey fun fact. Did you know Jersey was the start of the movie industry, then it moved to Florida and now present day California. How cool is that.

But on a serious note I have to ask, as I'm sure people have asked many times before, is that how people really act there. I find that hard to believe. You know it reminds me of "Real World".

I don't think these people are actually this stupid and obnoxious in real life. Half of the things they say/do can be remedied by picking up a self help book.

Still I can see why people watch this show, the watching of other people's problems whether real or fake tends to help you deal with your own. This is akin to watching wrestling before and after it got dramatic. Just don't assume this stuff is real and you'll be fine.
