How far and strangely we’ve fallen. For “Freaky Deaky,” the adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel at one time had folks like William H. Macy and Sienna Miller in the leads before going through a few casting shifts and settling on the lesser, but still somewhat respectable quartet of Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser, Craig Robinson and Katie Cassidy. The cast was recycled again, settling on a straight-to-DVD strong bunch of Billy Burke, Christian Slater, Michael Jai White, newcomer Breanne Racano and Roger Bart. That pretty killed whatever interest we had in the project—until now.

The fifth episode of American Gods is currently available to stream, and on demand, in the United States through Starz. Internationally, the series will be made available through Amazon Prime Instant Video. The episode will air on Starz, in the United States, tonight.
