In no way am I ready to support the ongoing wave of prequels, sequels, remakes and reboots flowing in and out of the Hollywood studio system, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for Sam Raimi’s Oz the Great and Powerful. For starters, it takes a colossal pair of stones to attempt any material that draws a direct comparison to Victor Fleming’s 1939 classic, The Wizard of Oz.
