Netflix Price Increase: Why So Serious?

Living with a Nerd writes:
I don’t understand why everyone is so up in arms over Netflix’s minor price increases…we pay far less than we would for cable, and we have MUCH more control over what we watch. Think about it: for about the same cost as purchasing a single DVD, you can get an unlimited number of DVDs mailed to your house, AND you can stream tens of thousands of movies, tv shows, and documentaries to the majority of the modern electronics you own. When you step back and look at what you’re getting, it’s a great deal.

I think it would of been a better business move on Netflix's behalf if they stated the DVD/Streaming service was a limited time offer or something.

The reason I say that is because we all knew for a fact it wouldn't stay at that price. Netflix simply wanted people to actually see how great their service was and if they offered it separately they would have maybe half the streaming customers.

Everyone wants more content on Netflix, everyone wants them to make more deals, and everyone wants them to spend money. So why not support them? Personally I never saw a single DVD that came in the year or so we have re purchased the service, so im fine with it. If everyone we share it with still wants the DVD ill gladly pay to keep the streaming and let them do the DVD's.
