Never know. This is Nolans last and it could work like comic books. Generally each writer does about 7 issues, and if they don't get signed on to write another 7 they normally do some big event without a closure point so the next writer can take the event and work with it.

He could "kill" Batman, then WB could lead that into the next movie. He really isn't "dead" and is back.

Remember Bane did break Batman's back. He could easily "go out of commission" then maybe have a glimpse of a "new" batman on a building just as it ends.

I don't think so, I think they're going to reboot the whole franchise, and I think what's going to happen is that Ryan Reynolds will end up being the Green Lantern for a while, Man of Steel will come out, and then we'll either get a sequel, or a reboot, or a reboot after a sequel, and then we'll get more DC movies, and hopefully set up a Justice League movie.

I think Warner Bros. might want to reboot it also, because they want a Batman who isn't grounded in reality like Nolan's is.

I should have clarified, Bruce Wayne will die, You can't kill an idea and/or symbol. This way the story comes full circle and the people of Gotham will see the sacrifice one man made and all the good his company has done for the city. This will cause people to reject evil and Rise together against it, the very goal that Bruce Wayne in this saga set out for. It will be a brilliant way to end Nolan's vision of the Batman saga. Look at him kind of like Jesus Christ. In the beginning he found himself and stumbled along the way the same way a young Jesus did. Then he was tested and tempted by the joker who was pure evil just like Jesus in the desert was tempted by the devil. Finally he embraces what he is and is willing to sacrifice it all for the greater good just like Jesus. I swear Nolan used the story of Jesus as a basis for his vision. Going to be fantastic.

But Bane has already been done before. Even though it was in the terrible Batman & Robin.

I really would have liked to see the riddler. Even though he also has appeared in a batman movie.

It just doesnt seem right to end it with bane and catwoman there is no way they will be as cool and as legendary as the Joker.

I dont know why he ditched the two characters that would have started crazy hype for this movie and would have been a more awesome combination then bane and catwoman.

He basically slammed the door in the face of the A list villians n batman and got some B listers.

Really not excited about this movie and as you said these villians arent mainstream peoople arent going to get a excited seeing bane and freaking catwoman then they would if it was the Ridler and penguin.

I feel Nolans trying to be unique for the sake of being unique trying to challenge himself to get this absurd combination to work and in turn screwing over the fans...

all batman movies are different tho... different batmans duh... you have never seen a batman movie with the same batman made 2 times. There gonna use christian bale again for dark knight 2 of course... its sad.

not only that, but if heath ledger didnt die, the movie wouldnt have been a top 3 most sold movie ever... no batman was and no batman ever would be, and if you ask me, batman returns was the best 1 ever imo
