Recently, Steve got the chance to sit down with producer John Davis to talk about his new family film, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, which opens this Friday. While we’ll be running the Penguins portion of the interview later this week, Davis gave updates on a number of other projects he’s currently working on, including the action-thriller Protection (which previously had Dwayne Johnson attached to star), David Ayer’s (Street Kings) remake/reboot of the 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger film Commando, and the action flick The Last Mission, which centers on a Navy SEAL who rounds up his old team to rescue his kidnapped daughter when the government fails to act.

Hollywood is seriously out of ideas. All I hear is "remake" and "reboot".
One thing that is gonna be hard to stomach is the fact that Arnold in his prime looked like a dude you didn't wanna mess with. Currently, all male actors, no matter how buffed, look like sissies in comparison. Even the new Coco the Barbarian looks like a dude who would get cut in half by Arnold in the opening scene.
no body can look like they can lift a gigantic phone booth over thier head like arnold can in commando :P totally badass lol
love that movie, may see it but with a different mindset unless i mentally erase the new actor and envision arnold in this reboot or remake then after that my brain will probably shutdown due to the processing power to make this imagination happen in my head lol
"fuck you asshole *click click*" "no fuck YOU ASShole *punchs*
I actually liked it too. But CobraKai is right...they seem to be out of original ideas as of late. Almost all movies are coming out of remakes. The good ones are from comic books or sometimes we get lucky and someone else takes a good book and makes a movie out of it.
