Quentin Tarantino’s next movie Django Unchained has now been given an official release date. 1 & 1/2 years away? Let the wait begin.

They must have a ton of faith in the project if they locked down a christmas day release. Pretty pumped.

If Chris Tucker gets the part it could potentially re-launch his career.

I don't really like Chris Tucker and I might be a bit upset if he gets the role. I'm still hoping that maybe Smith will pull through after DiCaprio signs on. But if he doesn't, I'd much rather see Foxx get it. At least he's a good actor.

It'll be interesting to see how it does in a month that also has the Hobbit coming out.

Eh, I don't see The Hobbit getting in the way too much. That comes out two weeks before Django Unchained comes out. That gives Tarantino and company plenty of breathing room.

I wouldn't worry about that....this is apples and oranges. It won't affect either one at all. The only thing I worry about is....if the release dates keep getting further and further away, some day we won't be around for them.

darklordzor4481d ago

Yeah you make a very good point. Myself, I can't stand Tarantino, so it's not something I planned on seeing anyway.

You don't like any of his films? Not even Pulp?

darklordzor4481d ago

Pulp Fiction is about it. And even then I wouldn't say I watch it with any regularity. I just don't like his style. On the other hand though, the films he's only produced, I've actually quite liked.

Yeah alycakes is right, they are very different audiences.

You don't like Tarantion, darklordzor? That does surprise me...well we all have our little quirks, don't we?
