FleshEatingZipper says: "I sat down today (finally) and watched the latest in the X-Men franchise. Read on after the jump to see what I thought about the new film. The latest installment of the X-Men series of movies takes us back in time to the age when Erik Lensherr (Magneto) and Charles Xavier (Professor X) were working together toward a mutual goal. One could say they were “friends”, though one would have to admit the “friendship” was somewhat tenuous."
Prequels are bad. They suck. Always. Every Time.
With Disney reportedly looking for a person of color to fill the role of Magneto in the MCU, Denzel Washington appears to be one actor being eyed.
Do it. It'd be hilarious. To hell with this capeshit trend already.
Will smith needs to be in this version. Big fan... maybe as Cyclops... who is your pick for wolverine?

If the movies have taught audiences anything, it’s that fictional characters make a lot of dumb decisions – like, a ton of them. All the time. In most cases, this happens as a result of lazy screenwriting – filmmakers force characters to do things that they’d probably avoid doing in real life in order to move the plot forwards. Sometimes it’s just easier that way, and who – really – is all that bothered about things like “realism”? Right?
Those were my feelings exactly. I enjoyed it very much but I didn't think it was an exceptional film. I thought it answered a couple of questions for me but it left me with a couple more. I was disappointed with the Wolverine cameo but whatever!
I was really disappointed with this movie myself. It was nice to see them try and expand on the concept but ultimetaly it still fell into the same traps as the other films. It was overstuffed with lame characters that are barely developed. There was definitely a harry potter/twilight thing going on with the first class, and I thought it detracted from the more interesting parts of the story.
