I think it's going to be awesome....either way I'll be there. I know it will be worth going to see it at the theather.

This is my pick for movie of the year.

The only thing I dont like is the commercials change based on what channel you watch on TV. On Spike its an action trailer and makes it look kinda like Cloverfield. On TBS is more fantasy and is what I want to see.

I'm going into this movie with little to no expectations.

Hypocritically, I expect to be pleased because of this.

I don't put much stock in what Hollywood pumps out these days, so most of my expectations are low.

I do enjoy the idea of going into Super 8 knowing practially NOTHING about it (besides the young people/coming of age plot).

I'm so sick of trailers that over-sell themselves and pretty much put the whole film in the 2 minute trailer (me and my wife recently watched the latest Pirates film, and after getting home and seeing the trailer on TV, we realized that, literally, EVERY major scene in that movie was in the trailer. We could have saved us $45 dollars. *sigh*).

I like that Super 8 is shrouded in mystery. Sometimes it's fun to just go into a movie blind. Does that mean you get burned? Sometimes you do. But sometimes you also come away pleasantly surprised.

I went into the Sixth Sense back in the day with that same lack of knowledge of what the film truly was about. I'm glad I had. I'll be doing the same for Super 8.

I think that's what they want. No one knows what to expect and that's why I want to see it because it's made me more curious and it looks exciting and dramtic.
