Orlando Bloom Confirmed To Return As Legolas In The Hobbit

CinemaBlend says

When Orlando Bloom last talked about his possible participation in The Hobbit he wasn't 100% certain that it would happen, but he was saying he had plans to grow his hair long and blond again. Now he'd better bust out the hair dye; according to a post on the official Hobbit Facebook page, Bloom is confirmed to return as Legolas. Here's what Jackson had to say about bringing back another member of the original Fellowship:

To me this means that it won't be boring...there's got to be some action IF Legolas is in it....right? I loved his character in Lord of the Rings...the cast seems to be improving.

Lol the world has come down to only wanting action, that wasn't a good sign for the Greeks haha...

A movie can still be compelling and interesting with a lot of violence, especially in the Lord of the Rings universe.

xVeZx4729d ago

why wouldnt he....hes hasnt done anything in a while....

Sahil4729d ago

yeah.. we haven't seen him for a loooong time..

Quagmire4729d ago

Actually, he's just recently finished working on the Three Musketeers film

Knghtz4729d ago

Legolas wasn't even in the hobbit...

Sty4729d ago

yeah, i have read this book, and i don't remember him on it!

dkgshiz4729d ago

Yea, this guy basically needs work. I can' think of one movie he was in the last 5 years.

Defectiv3_Detectiv34729d ago

He was in that one....no

But what about that movie with the....no

I could of sworn I saw him on an episode of...no, that wasn't him either

Quagmire4729d ago

Three Musketeers, search it up, troll.

Defectiv3_Detectiv34728d ago

LMAO, The Three Muskateers, directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Really gonna light the world on fire with that film.

He's been in "At World's End" and "Dead Man's Chest" (the Pirates movies) and both of those have been within the last 5 years. He was also in "Main Street" and "New York, I Love You" He's is in "The Good Doctor". He'll also be one of the stars of the remake of "The Three Musketeers" which will come out later this year.

Bloom's ship has sailed. I think Elizabeth Town was his last big shot at launching his career, and we all know how that went. At the end of the day he doesn't have the acting skills or star appeal; it's hard for me to imagine a role he's not interchangeable in. Not to bad for a guy who became famous starring in a European soap opera. Eventually, being a teen heartthrob isn't enough. I'm sure Sam Worthington will be in the same boat soon enough.
