Screenrant: Stan Lee has spilled the beans regarding his cameo in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, and revealed that he won’t be making an appearance in ‘X-Men: First Class’.
Stan Lee was amazing. I had so much fun at this event and enjoyed speaking with him briefly at the show. I didn't get much alone time with him, just enough to shake his hand and tell him how much of an influence he's been. Still...it's something I won't soon forget. Plus I got an autograph from him!
I was also fortunate enough to see him and speak to him. He is a wonderful person. They were really pushing the line along for the autographs this time so that you really couldn't speak to him except to say hello but he did stop my husband and told him that the comic book he chose was one of his favorite ever and shook his hand.....of course that made his day.
We both had better quality time with him in San Diego at Comic Con where they didn't handle it like an express line. He's a very pleasant man that loves to talk. He is his most favorite subject and likes to laugh. I really feel bad for him also because he is getting so old and I feel that maybe he's not getting enough rest. I did manage to get some good pictures of him and will frame one in a shadow box with the comic books once they come back from being graded.....It was a great weekend.
Believe or not it was one that he did with John Buscema from DC comics called "Just Imagine Stan Lee's Superman". He told my husband he had a lot of fun do that one.
Stan Lee is a god among men for so many reasons. Up here in Canada they have an event caled Fan fest and he was there last yr. it was something like $50 per autograph and they rushed you through.
In San Diego he was autographing a book and it was on 20 dollars and the illustrator was also signing the book with him. That day was nice because they didn't rush us thru like an express line and we got to say hello and talk to him for a minute or two. He was very gracious and sweet. I think he's also getting very old and very tired.
He didn't do a cameo in X-Men First Class because they filmed it out of the country and he won't travel out of the country. He's already has so much on his plate and at his age I imagine it's hard to keep going as it is.
“For some reason they didn’t call me or maybe it was because they shot most of it out of the country and I didn’t want to travel that far… point is I’m not in it. But I figured out the reason why they didn’t try to get me. They are so shrewd. They figure that without me they will sell more tickets and I’ll tell you why.
People will go to the movie and when they come out, they will say ‘Wait a minute, we didn’t see Stan’s cameo. We must have missed it. We’ll buy another ticket and go back!’ They’re going to sell twice as many tickets!”

Cool, it's always fun to see him and say" hey that's Stan Lee, the guy that made this all possible".
