From TMP:
It may not have been a massive hit at the box office, but I Am Number Four is an entertaining sci-fi flick served with a strong side of character development. Although the relationships between the characters get a strong focus, it doesn't play like some angsty CW television show. D.J. Caruso crafts a riveting thriller that builds the tension to an action-packed third act highlighted by great stunts and special effects. As has been widely reported, the film does leave open the possibility for sequels, but even if they never happen, the ending will not leave you hanging.
