Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams – Sherlock Holmes) has just been made redundant from her last job as a morning talk show producer. She manages to get a new job on Daybreak, the 4th best morning show on American television. It’s facing the axe due to poor ratings so Becky sets about revamping the shows format and makes some big changes – including the acquisition of grumpy old newshound Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford – Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). With Pomeroy’s prestige at the helm, Daybreak will get a much needed jolt of excitement. The only problem is Pomeroy doesn’t want to do the job. Time is fast running out for Becky to juggle difficult on-air talent, a fledging show and a stop-start relationship with co-worker Adam (Patrick Wilson – Watchmen) before everyone loses their jobs.
