Been wishing for years that he'd do another Ace Ventura movie. I'd take it in a second over whatever this is trying to be.

I'd welcome another Ace Ventura. This just looks like something for the kids.

I doubt I'll even watch this unless me nephew begs me.

I would've liked another Ace Ventura from him, but we're definitely beyond that point now. As weird as this may sound: Jim Carrey has matured too much for that now and he's maturing still. You can tell with stuff like this. Rather than being the young zany/crazy single guy you can tell he's making that transition to a family-man type of guy. It's the same transition that you've seen with people like Eddie Murphy. That transition in their personal life shows in their work. Though Carrey seems to be handling it a bit better. And while his maturing does bring us stuff like this, it also brings us stuff like Eternal Sunshine.

That being said, I still find him funny. Even a couple spots in this trailer had me smirking. While it's nothing I'd go to the theaters for, I do think I'll watch it at some point. Doesn't look like anything great, but it does look like a cute movie.

I just do not find his movies funny anymore

Quagmire4717d ago

The Mask, Liar Liar and Batman were his last good films.

is 23 anygood by any chance?

The Number 23 is alright I thought. Nothing special, though. But seriously those are his last good films? Have you seen The Truman Show? How about Man on the Moon? Me, Myself & Irene? Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I even thought Yes Man was pretty good (definitely not his best, but entertaining).

I saw the previews to this yesterday when I went to the movies and even though he kinda gets on my nerves.....I actually started laughing. I think it's going to be very funny. If there's a young kid around to take with you, go see it. I think it's going to be another one of those to just take a break for fun and laughter without it being a romantic comedy.
