Just checked out the trailer. Looks like it could be a nice little film. Seems fairly depressing but that's alright. Jenna Fischer is fun to watch in everything she's in so I'm there.

The LRA Show Ep. 18 - Cowboys & Aliens

LRA writes: This week we dust off our boots and charge our ray guns as we discuss the new genre mash-up movie Cowboys & Aliens where we are once again joined by our resident comic book guy James Blunt. Other topics raised are with Brian expressing his love of watching 3D at home, James dissecting the film-like qualities of the video game L.A. Noire and with me heaping praise on the new alien invasion film Attack the Block while also condemning the independent drama A Little Help. Inside this episode we explore the ethnic origins of Olivia Wilde, try to decide if aliens want our world or just our bling, if aliens would look cooler with sunglasses, whether or not Brian wants naked pictures of girls, what ewoks have to do with any of this and finally we have the continuing saga of James and how he just wants people to leave him alone. Featured music this week is from the "Cowboys & Aliens" motion picture soundtrack and from the planet Endor.

LRA: A Little Help - Theatrical Review

LRA writes: It's not often that I will drop what I am doing to seek out (and that is exactly what I had to do with this one) a movie based solely on the appeal of its leading lady. It's not so much that I love the work of Jenna Fischer, the only major thing she has been a part of that I have seen is the television show The Office along with some smaller roles in movies most notably in the underrated Walk Hard. But I can see a lot of potential for her as an actress just like I did many years ago with the likes of Eva Green and Rose Byrne both of whom have gone on to have great careers. Going into that empty theater in the middle of the week I was fairly optimistic despite not knowing a thing about the movie I was going to watch which is usually how I prefer it. My wait for her breakout role will have to continue though because although Jenna gives it her all this is not the movie it tried to be and should have been.

A Little Help Review - WGTC

A Little Help is a film worth recommending to a very select crowd. The film is the kind of funny that will make you laugh to yourself while adding the kind of drama that forces you to think without ever watering the eyes. It’s a great story that unfortunately only makes for a good film
