Comingsoon: Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the film and TV production arm of the game publishing company launched in January, is developing 3D feature films based on Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon, reports Variety.
The division is headed by Jean-Julien Baronnet, who said that Ubisoft Motion Pictures has been working with the games' producers and Ubisoft's marketing team to identify the DNA of each game and come up with storylines that are consistent with the company's three biggest franchises.

Woah.. splinter cell and assassin creed in form of movies, amazing news as i've always wondered what wud these games luk like when changed into actual storylines and characters and who wud play them, am totally with this idea, SWEET!
If there was ever a director for the Assassin's Creed universe, it would be Chris Nolan. and perfect timing too, he'll wrap up Dark Knight Rises soon, and with no major projects announced at the moment, he could work on the film for a release close to AC3, a great tie-in.
I dont mean to hog Nolan just cause he's a great film-maker, however the similarities between AC and Inception is uncanny, and will perfectly fit his vision.
Very interesting.....since I'm not a gamer but a lot of the movies I like have come from comic books or games, this will be something to look into.
No wonder they just opened the movie wing for their company. They're gonna put out bad movies for all their decent game franchises.
