Good. I expected Priest to do poorly after seeing the trailers for it. Bridesmaids I'm glad is overperforming though. We need more all female comedies and movies in general imo.

Interested to see what Wiig will follow up with after this.

Not to be sexist or anything (simply stating whats on peoples minds and how to fix it), but we need more Female leads that make it worth it. Emma Stone is very funny and talented, I wouldn't mind watching a movie with her, maybe Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman perhaps. There are a lot of female actors that crumble once you put them into the leaders chair. Sucker Punch is a good example of what I mean. All female cast, but there were a good 3 or 4 girls in it that I could of lived with out, 2 I didn't like at all.

However its a common trend with female comedians...they ALL ( at least from what I have seen) turn to sex jokes for a majority of their performance. So for the love of god let a guy write it or have a rule that the movie can't be based on sex (Dont need another sex and the city), marriage (as in how "amazing" it is), babies/having a baby, or "The perfect guy in Camo." Let someone new write a NEW story so women are not categorized like this anymore. Why can't their be stoner movies with a female lead? Party movies? College movies? and so on...

I have no interest in this one at all - a few of my buddies who were dragged to this on the weekend say that you need to have female plumbing to appreciate this movie. I'll be letting this one disappear into obscurity.

"we need more Female leads that make it worth it"

Not to be sexist but I have to agree. I recently read this whole "Top X Actresses Today" article and it brought up that same thought for me. There just aren't that many. And for me this extends beyond just comedy. Even the ones that article (and the general consensus) list as great actresses, I just don't care for most of them. And the ones I do care for, most are just mediocre at best. To me, Portman is the best actress that I've seen working today. But her level of talent is definitely the exception in the list of female actors.

I'm not saying she's the only good one, there are obviously others. But really, there's not that many that are actually really good actresses and anything more than mediocre. Especially when given the daunting task of having to lead/carry a movie. I don't even care for any of these women starring in Bridesmaids.

That being said, I am pleasantly surprised to see how well it's being reviewed. Makes me actually want to give it a try. Seems pretty girlie, but I thought the same about Easy A and I found that surprisingly good as well once I got around to watching it finally.

The thing is that movie is Emma Stone. Look at the movies she has done before that and the way she acts. She isn't going to take the role in a girlie film.

This cast I don't care about either. I wont see it in theaters, ill try it on Netflix though. I gurentee the reviews are slanted though, Sex and the City got good reviews for a while too...
