Lemuel Gulliver (Jack Black – Tropic Thunder) is a no-hoper content with working in a news mailroom his entire life and playing guitar hero all day. He has eyes for a lead journalist working in his building, Darcy Silverman (Amanda Peet – Please Give) and she seems to like Gulliver too. When he tries to impress her by claiming he writes articles in his spare time she spots a great opportunity for him. She needs a reporter to do a piece on the Bermuda Triangle and asks for Gulliver’s help. He doesn’t want to admit he was lying so decides to go on the trip to help her out and maybe win her affections. But when he reaches open waters a massive storm ranges and sucks Gulliver into a magical new world - the land of Lilliput - where he literally becomes a giant amongst men.
