Comingsoon says:
Warner Bros. Pictures set the release dates for three of its upcoming titles today.
First up, Tim Burton's big screen adaptation of Dark Shadows, starring Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Jackie Earle Haley, Bella Heathcoate, Thomas McDonnell, Helena Bonham Carter and Chloe Moretz, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 11, 2012. Also scheduled to hit theaters that date are the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy The Dictator and Cameron Diaz-starrer What to Expect When You're Expecting.
New Line/Warner Bros. has also announced that Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is coming to theaters on January 27, 2012. The sequel, featuring Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzman and Kristen Davis, will face thriller One for the Money on that date.
Final Destination is a reminder of our mortality.
‘It Follows’ still lurks.
The Parenting Review: It starts off as a fun horror-comedy with a great cast, but loses its charm halfway through. The laughs fade, the scares feel predictable, and by the end, it’s just another forgettable haunted house story.
My father used to really like the original Dark Shadows and thought the remake of it in the 80s was really good. I'm gonna have to check it out on Netflix prior to seeing the new movie. That and GI Joe 2 are about the only movies that I have any interest in seeing.
The original Dark Shadows was good or at least the story was but the acting was so terrible that it was funny to watch.
It will be great seeing Johnny Depp take on the role of Barnabas Collins.
