Comingsoon: Jean Reno has joined the cast of the Rob Cohen-directed adaptation of James Patterson's I, Alex Cross, reports Variety. There's no word yet on who he'll be playing, but the the book is described as follows:

That's one way to make me care about a movie I've never heard of. I love Reno's work.
I love him too but I also like the James Patterson character, Alex Cross. The novels get a little too detailed but they're still good. This sounds like it could be a winner for me.
This is great. I like the books.
Wasn't he in the DaVinci Code and he was in one of the newer Pink Panther movies with Steve Martin too. But his best was The Professional.
