'X-Men: First Class' Character Trailers - Banshee, Havok, And Beast

MTV says:

"X-Men: First Class" hits theaters in just under a month, taking Professor X and Magneto back to their early days and introducing a new group of mutants to the live-action "X-Men" universe.

However, while fans of Marvel's famous mutants might be well acquainted with some of the characters in the film, there are a few new mutants joining the fray — and a few characters who received a tweak or two on their way to the big screen. That's why we're thrilled to offer you an exclusive video introduction to three of the "First Class" mutants: Banshee, Havok, and Beast.

Wish I was at home right now so I could check these trailers out - any of you cats feel more excited by the movie after these trailers?

darklordzor4737d ago

Well, I've actually been very excited for this movie, DESPITE the trailers we've seen so far. I think there is a lot of potential in this movie and I hope it works out.

These character trailers are pretty cool though and makes it look pretty darn fun.

I was more interested in the movie after the international trailer came out a couple weeks ago. So yes these trailers are doing it for me.

Soldierone4737d ago

Still not feeling it to be honest. I still feel it will be nothing but potential and not fully reach it. With Fox behind it and the crew behind it saying they felt it was skimped a little...there are reasons as to why i feel that way.

Of course me being this way will probably make me enjoy it more haha

mindedone4736d ago

Trailers did it for me. Banshee's is awesome, then beast, then havoc (not familiar with him from the comics, but his powers really require him to hoola hoop?)

Crazay4736d ago

LOL - I was thinking about that myself...Really A mutant super power is the hulahoop?

mindedone4736d ago

I couldn't hear how they explained the chest thing, but I hope, PRAY, that he doesn't have to do it with the chest plate on.

Cant wait for this one. Alot of blockbuster films this year.

Sahil4736d ago

Yeah, a lot to look for in 2011 :)

Crazay4737d ago

WOAH!!!

They should have led with those trailers because now I may actually go see it in theaters.

JL4737d ago

I agree, they should've led with these trailers. These look much better than anything I've seen before. Still nothing I want to go see in theaters, though. But now I think I might actually be looking forward to watching it on Blu-ray and may even buy it.

this movie has alot of potential to be really dam good

-MD-4737d ago (Edited 4737d ago )

Cast + Director are oozing potential.

I'm feeling a lot better about First Class these days.

Crazay4737d ago

Same here....not totally sold on it but more interested for sure.

Havok's powers look generic as hell...he's just a knockoff of cyclops. It's too bad Multiple Man and Quicksilver were wasted in X3.

hazelamy4737d ago

he is his brother, so i guess they went for a similar visual style for his power.

and i don't recall quicksilver being in the third x-men movie.
jamie madrox did have a purpose in the film though, too bad it was just the one scene.

but then there are far more important characters that were criminally underused in that film.

it's good that they're focusing on a few characters for this one, giving them time to develop them properly.
though so far it's looking like there isn't going to be a clearly defined villain, unless magneto does his heel turn early on in the film.

Defectiv3_Detectiv34736d ago

It wasn't quicksilver 'persay', but there was a mutant with his same speed superpower. And it might not have been the same character, but I doubt they will touch on Quicksilver now that they have already used his power on somebody else.

I still think Havok is a bit tacky - I will say that they were faithful to his character though. His original suit looked the exact same until they changed it in the 90s; making his supersonic waves(?) just come out of his hands. Far less cheesy looking.
