An elderly gentleman named Jacob Jankowski (Hal Holbrook – The Fog) arrives too late to watch a visiting circus performance, and instead gets talking to the show’s organiser. Looking through some old circus pictures, Jacob recounts the tale of how his younger self (Robert Pattinson – Twilight) first got involved with the infamous Benzini Brothers circus, how his love for their star performer Marlena (Reese Witherspoon – Legally Blonde) almost killed him and the truth behind the shocking events that led to the great Benzini Brothers disaster of the 1930’s.
