Entertainment Focus - Review: The Green Hornet

Britt Reid (Seth Rogen – Pineapple Express) is a spoilt playboy happy to live off his father’s fortune. James Reid (Tom Wilkinson – Batman Begins) is disappointed by the choices his son has made in life and wishes Britt would grow up and take responsibility for himself. When James unexpectedly dies, Britt is forced to re-evaluate his predicament and comes to the realisation that he hasn’t achieved anything of note in his life. He befriends one of his father’s helpers, Kato (Jay Chou – True Legend), a brilliant-minded individual who himself hasn’t realised his full potential in life. Britt and Kato make a pact to do something about this and decide to become crime fighters. Enter The Green Hornet and Kato, who will challenge the city’s underworld head-on - something local crime lord Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz – Inglourious Basterds) will not allow at any cost.

This movie was husband and I went to see it twice. We actually were very surprised when we went to see it the first time we weren't expecting much. We only went because of the big hype at Comic Con and thought "what the heck". It was a matinee and all...but we loved it. It was fun and funny, lots of action, and had a moral to it too. After seeing twice with him I took my sister to see it.

I'll be buying it on Tuesday when it comes out on DVD.
