In every Summer Blockbuster season little movies sneak under the radar and just appear with little to no fanfare in multiplexes worldwide. One of those movies this year is Blitz.
From the offset you are under no illusion what type of police officer Tom Brant (Statham) is. Asleep on the couch with a bottle of whiskey in front, Brant awakens, has a glass and immediately proceeds to head out outside and deal with some youths that are trying to rob his car in a very interesting way. Unlike the usual Statham movies this cop does not know martial arts or carry a firearm. This time it’s set in the UK where a more realistic feel is applied to the character. For those of you that are fans are the excellent crime dramas produced by the BBC and ITV think Cracker, Prime Suspect and Luther.
That trailer looks good. It kinda took me back to the Dirty Harry movie...the first one where he thinks "how long are you gonna put up with this crap from this guy?" Then he just decides to deal with it in his own way.
Can't wait to see it. I'm a big fan of Jason Statham anyway.
Yeah I'm a fan too, but I want to see him do another Transporter but do it really good, not like 2 & 3 but more like the first one.
I'm looking forward to the Killer Elite with Statham and De Niro http://www.imdb.com/title/t... . I think outside of him possibly being in this Transporter Series that's being planned I can't see another movie happening.

Can't wait to see this...I love Jason Statham. Anything he does is pretty good. I wish he would do another Transporter movie. I know they're doing the Transporter tv series I think on either showtime or hbo but I'd rather have a movie.
Barry Weiss (Aidan Gillen – Queer As Folk) has started a brutal killing spree across London, targeting only Police Officers. Detective Sergeant Tom Brant (Jason Statham – The Expendables) is tasked with investigating the case alongside his newly promoted Senior Officer Porter Nash (Paddy Considine – Submarine). With their conflicting styles, both Brant and Nash must work together to track down Weiss before he executes 8 cops, using the media pseudonym Blitz to gain tabloid infamy.
Looking forward to a good drama with Jason Statham. I just like to go watch him fight and listen to him talk....he is just yummy.
If it's got Jason Statham in it...I'm there. That's another action star I'll go see anytime whether the movie gets good reviews or not.
