Martin was a normal teenage boy before the country collapsed in an empty pit of economic and political disaster. A vampire epidemic has swept across what is left of the nation’s abandoned towns and cities, and it’s up to Mister, a death dealing, rogue vampire hunter, to get Martin safely north to Canada, the continent’s New Eden.
In Stake Land, the latest post-apocalyptic vision to hit cinemas, it is not vampire or cannibals you have to watch out for, but those nutters in the Christian right and all of the offensive caricature that comes with them.

The zombie genre gets crossed with the now-popular vampire genre in the creepy indie horror flick Stake Land and finally Emma Stone goes back to the less-than-accepting days of the 1960s exploring African-American maids working in white households in Jackson, Mississippi. Perhaps you are sick to the fanged teeth of the vampire overkill in recent movies and TV shows, and have no interest in witnessing any more blood-sucking action. Well hang-fire, as Stake Land could show you that there is still plenty of life left in the undead genre.

Nothing too different from any vampire movie but I'd go see it. I like a good vampire movie now and then.
