Film4: Rio Review

Film4: Perfectly voiced by Jesse Eisenberg, Blu is rather reminiscent of Zach Braff's character J.D. in Scrubs - insecure, digressive, prone to fantasy. So when an ornithologist turns up and announces he's the last male of his kind and he must mate with the last female (voiced by Anne Hathaway) in Rio de Janeiro, the stage is set for something of a City Slickers-style fish out of water comedy. Also, he believes he can't fly, so you've got some Dumbo in the mix, while the villainous but dim trio of tropical bird-thieves slightly recall Cruella de Ville's modus operandi, though unfortunately it's more the Glenn Close edition than original Disney.
