This is a good casting choice. She'll have to lose the red hair (tear) but I think this is a great fit. She's sexy, and exudes the strength that a woman needs to take on the role of Lois Lane - Something that was sadly lacking with the Lois we saw from Kate Bosworth.

Christopher4772d ago

I would not be against a red-headed Lois Lane. Though, truth be told, I am extremely biased in this considering my love of red heads.

JL4771d ago

I love a good redhead at times too. Can be very sexy. Though a redhead Lois Lane might not feel right. Especially when she's rocking that real bright red hair. The "brownish" red she has had before could maybe be doable.

And I'd rather see her give herself over to the role so completely that she does dye for it, otherwise it might feel like Amy playing Lois. Whereas with dyed hair she could better become Lois and not blatantly be Amy on the screen.

Yeah, I'm almost 100% certain they'll have here with black hair. I don't think Lois has been done with anything but dark brown/black hair to-date. Would be like making a blonde Superman, I guess.

Peggy Bundy says hello! haha

As far as this casting choice goes, I like her as Lois for sure, this movie sounds like its being done right so far.

Dying the hair is a must and she better not throw in an accent or I'm walking outta the theater heh. Otherwise, agreed. Great actress. Let's see where this goes...after Ms. Bosworth, there's really only one direction!

nerdyTITS4772d ago

Im glad they went with a more mature woman in this film, lois lane needs that for sure.

darklordzor4771d ago

Yeah, they've really seemed to have been nailing all of the casting choices on the head so far. Very happy with everything!

JL4771d ago

I'm fine with this. Amy Adams showed she could definitely play the strong female type in The Fighter. Ideally, I still would've preferred Rachel McAdams, but this is alright too.

Crazay4771d ago

Still? I don't get why. She's a serviceable actress sure and she's nice to look at but what about her makes you wish it was her taking the role on?

JL4771d ago

I just think she could be perfect for the role. She's got the look, the personality, she can present that proper "attitude". Just...she would fit great in that role I think.

darklordzor4771d ago

Attitude, attitude, attitude. She has the tenacity and spunk needed for a Lois Lane. That and she is very nice to look at.

darklordzor4771d ago

Totally with you here man. I would have loved McAdams for this role. She has the maturity and the spunk needed for a Lois Lane. However, I'm still pretty stoked for Amy Adams.

JL4771d ago

Yea, I'm fine with Amy Adams. I don't mind that casting at all. They could have done A LOT worse (though Amy does get ever so slightly annoying...just a tiny bit...from time to time). But I'm totally fine with it. Was just saying McAdams was my ideal choice and who I was hoping for.

darklordzor4771d ago

Oh no kidding. There are a bunch of ways it could have been worse...Like Olivia Wilde, Kristen Stewart, and a whole slew of other young actresses who haven't proven themselves yet.

darklordzor4771d ago

Fan-freaking-tastic! I would have loved Rachel McAdams for this role (I've mentioned it on other articles before), but I am really happy about this casting choice. I have a thing for redheads, plus I've loved just about every role Adams has had (barring Shopaholic, but that was about the movie and not her).

I hate that she'll be giving up the red hair, but this should be a lot of fun.

Crazay4771d ago

You have a thing for redheads eh? All I can say is this:

"Just stay on your side of the keyboard mister."

darklordzor4771d ago

Nope it's okay, my wife is a redhead so no worries there. As a matter of fact, there's only been one person in my life that I've dated who WASN'T a red head.

Tony131754771d ago

Umm....Adams wasn't in Shopaholic, that was Isla Fisher. But I see how you got confused since they are like twins.
