'Captain America': First Look at Red Skull

EW says:

Most superheroes are only as good as their villains are bad. In this summer’s Captain America: The First Avenger, Chris Evans plays a scrawny, sickly wannabe soldier during World War II who gets an injection that turns him into a super-warrior. A similar experiment was also established by the Nazis, but turned their test subject — the weapons developer Johann Schmidt (Hugo Weaving) — into the ghastly Red Skull. EW has the exclusive first look at the full, nefarious character. Check it out below:

AWWW MAN!!! They nailed it. That looks awesome.

Fan-freakin-tastic! They have done a spectacular job with this make-up. It's not too campy, doesn't look like a halloween mask, and has just enough realism to it. Very cool, gets me suddenly more excited for this film.

It looks sharp and exactly they way it should be. Hats off to the makeup people on this one.

JL4800d ago

Indeed. That might be some of the best makeup I've seen in a while.

Looks friggin awesome! Glad its not like early 2000's make up at least lol. I just wonder if their will be some added visual effects to him as well.

Early 2000s?

Are you saying that Skeletor in Master of the Universe didn't look totally awesome back in the 80s?
=P

To be honest some of the older 80's stuff did look better than the late 90's and early 2000's attempts lol. Thats because visuals were just starting though

@Soldierone

I honestly don't think they'd need any more VFX to go with him. Then again, maybe that's what it all is to begin with. I think he looks phenomenal as he is.

Now we need a better trailer to show him in action.

I was thinking maybe some vein action, maybe make his head slightly transperent would be badass too. Not like you can see through his head, but to add like a "shine" and see some veins and stuff.
