I dont know why im like the only person that doesn't get Shatner. He is a cool fellow and what not, i just dont understand why people are crazy for him. Of course Star Trek is understandable, a guest appearance of some sort would be absolutely neat for Trekkies, but everything else?
Shatner is awesome for a few reasons.
1. Yes he is a god among men for Trekkies
2. He's actually a pretty funny and charismatic guy
3. He's Canadian
4. The man has a great sense of humor and doesn't take himself seriously in the least bit which makes him kinda fun.
I dunno how they could toss him into the next movie but I suspect he could be an admiral in the Federation or something. He won't be playing the role of Old Kirk though. That much is a given.
For me, he will always be Denny Crane from Boston Legal...easily some of his best performances.

Then it'll be good for you. It's like no other legal show out there. It doesn't take itself too serious at all. It has a lot of comedy about it. It does have it's serious moments, but on the whole, I'd categorize it as a comedy.
