Deadline says:
I'm told that Paramount Pictures has chosen Jon M. Chu to direct G.I. Joe 2, the sequel to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Chu just made the studio a pile of dough with Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. The competition came down to Chu and Gary Gray, with Unknown helmer Jaume Collet-Serra also meeting with studio brass. Production will begin in the fall. Chu is repped by WME and Principato Young. I'm told they are working out his deal, but that he's been told he is the choice. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing. The next task will be to figure out which cast members are returning. I've heard the studio is starting with Channing Tatum, and trying to work out a deal for him to reprise.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Gawddammit!!!
The guy has done SFA aside from lame ass dancing movie and Justin Bieber. Any hope for this movie is gone out the window now. Maybe we'll see Storm Shadow dance around like Biebs.
The 1st movie was alright. But, if the 2nd adds a dance number then I will never watch G.I. Joe again.
I actually enjoyed the first movie, as stupid as it was. Storm Shdaow was a COOL BADASS. But I just couldn't stand that idiot marlon wayans.
I just read he made the pile of dough and thought doodoo, I laughed so hard, rofl.
