Owen Wilson is usually a hit or miss for me. Sometimes he can be hilarious and then other times he can be a little bit boring but he does have a weird charm about him.
I like Owen Wilson. He was absolutely fantastic in Wedding Crashers. But unfortunately, him and Vince Vaughn have featured in increasingly worse movies.
I think a lot of his movie choices are why I sometimes dislike him. He isn't someone to get me to see a theater just because hes in it but he is sometimes a plus.
Zoolander being an example of him making a movie better than it would have been without him.
He personally just needs to pick better movies that are more suited to his acting style. If you watch some of his movies, his style doesnt fit the character and thats what ruins his image in the movie. Makes him boring in otherwords. Meanwhile if he picks a movie that fits his laid back style, it works perfectly.
Yeah @Soldierone - what movies do you have in mind?
I think the piece is great - even if it is on the site I work for. It really breaks down and describes exactly why people like/dislike Owen Wilson.
I myself like the guy. Sure, he's not the best actor in the world - and I agree he is not an actor that would get me to the cinema purely because he was involved - but he's fun to watch. Also, the fact that he overcame his past troubles is an endearing quality and Owen should be praised because of it.
