Top DVD/Blu-ray Sales and Rentals for the Week Ending February 20, 2011

CPC:
I’m back for another week of the top selling and most rented movies on DVD and Blu-ray. These results come from data gathered by Rentrak for the week ending February 20, 2011. This week sees only one newcomer breaking the top ten. That comes as no surprise really, though, as last week saw only one real major release. That newcomer: the Tony Scott thriller Unstoppable which lands in the top spot in sales. Meanwhile, disappointingly, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 remains in second place for DVD/Blu-ray sales. Sad. I know.

Look at Chihuahua sitting at #2 on the list still lol. I'd be pissed if I bought unstoppable (could you honestly watch that twice?)

JL4801d ago

Yea I could. Maybe not watch it a second time anytime soon. But it would be an alright viewing again down the line somewhere. I thought the movie was fairly decent.

I know I definitely have far worse movies in my collection.

Beverly Hill Chihuahua? WOW!!!

People really are quite dumb eh?

Sunny_D4801d ago

Unstoppable is one those watch once movies and never watch again type movies, huh? Hmmm, I guess I will get it on Netflix.

JL4800d ago

I guess it depends on your viewing habits. Like I know people that rarely rewatch movies. Whereas I on the other hand rewatch movies all the time. Like I said, I'd probably watch Unstoppable again at some point (way down the road after it's had time to fade out of mind really). But it probably it one I'd recommend more as a rental than a buy. Unless you're the type like me that just buys tons of movies.

Sunny_D4800d ago

Ok thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

Lol if it wasn't February id say Hollywood is going into the dumps.

Sunny_D4800d ago

Paranormal activity number 3? Wow, I'd thought it would be a more recent movie and something that isn't scary.

Good to see Toy Story 3 and Inception in the top 10, although they look like they will be dropped.
