I’m back for another week of the top selling and most rented movies on DVD and Blu-ray. These results come from data gathered by Rentrak for the week ending February 20, 2011. This week sees only one newcomer breaking the top ten. That comes as no surprise really, though, as last week saw only one real major release. That newcomer: the Tony Scott thriller Unstoppable which lands in the top spot in sales. Meanwhile, disappointingly, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 remains in second place for DVD/Blu-ray sales. Sad. I know.
Nekki has announced that the forthcoming gun fu game, SPINE, will receive a movie adaptation to expand the franchise.
Despite the lack of updates from Marvel Studios and Disney, Shang-Chi star Simu Liu says the sequel to the successful 2021 movie is still happening.
Based on the wildly popular 1988 comic book one-shot by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland, the anticipation soared for Batman: The Killing Joke movie. But why didn't it deliver in the end?
Look at Chihuahua sitting at #2 on the list still lol. I'd be pissed if I bought unstoppable (could you honestly watch that twice?)
Paranormal activity number 3? Wow, I'd thought it would be a more recent movie and something that isn't scary.
Good to see Toy Story 3 and Inception in the top 10, although they look like they will be dropped.
