Fans Launch 'Help Nathan Fillion Buy Firefly' Movement

EW: Firefly fans have launched a Web site and Facebook page trying to rally support to help Nathan Fillion buy the rights to the canceled Fox series.

Earlier this week, Fillion told EW he’d be willing to reprise his Firefly role as Captain Mal again. Then he added: “If I got $300 million from the California Lottery, the first thing I would do is buy the rights to Firefly, make it on my own, and distribute it on the Internet.”

They know this is probably their only chance in hell to revive this series. I've never even seen the show but I'd like to see it come back.

Yeah, I'm down for more of Firefly. Why do channels always get rid of the good series? sigh

They didn't handle the show correctly. I remember being told that they aired episodes out of order like right when the series came out episode 1 would air and then episode 11 so it confused everybody.

Doesn't sound like it stood a chance to survive on that station.

I'm totally down for this. The likelihood of it actually happening is probably pretty slim. He made the statement in a joking manner. But, I'm a diehard browncoat so I'll do it.

@Murderdolls, you really need to see it. It's fantastic!

I've heard nothing but praise for it. This guy I know used to tell me about it all the time almost begging me to watch it. I think I have it downloaded somewhere to be honest.

Is it worth watching knowing that it was cancelled?

Geez this guy really has a cool fan following lol, they will fight tooth and nail for him for anything.

I've also never seen the show nor have I watched Serenity though I wouldn't mind seeing it make a strong comeback. Problem is that Joss Whedon won't be part of it so it may not hold the same magic it once did for the die hard fans
