Hans Zimmer Promises 'Epic, Iconic' Score For 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Karen Warner: Not everyone around Splash Page HQ is as obsessed with film and television composers as I am, but even if you only half-listen to the music in movies — particularly music in movies over the past few years — Hans Zimmer has made an impact on your filmgoing life.

And I shall hold Mr. Zimmer to his promise. I have no doubt in my mind it'll be great.

I have no doubt in my mind. He is a legend. He even made some of the best scores for our favorite videogames, I believe.

The first 2 had amazing scores. The third will definitely follow suit.

JL4815d ago

Of course it will be. It's Hans Zimmer. He's one of the greats.

-MD-4815d ago

I looked up his history of films and wow does he pump out a lot of work.

JL4814d ago

Yes he does. A lot of good work too. The films he score might not turn out the greatest sometimes, but his scores are always great.

darklordzor4815d ago

Yeah I don't really get how this is news....This should just be a given. Hans Zimmer never has to announce how awesome he is.

JL4815d ago

lol Exactly. It's almost as "breaking" as the announcement "Today, the sun will produce heat".

Hans Zimmer is easily one of my top five favorites around today. He's just plain awesome.

Soldierone4815d ago

I dont think there has ever been a score i didnt like at some level of his. Movies? Perhaps, but the music saves it the watchability.

JL4815d ago

Exactly. Granted I haven't seen every movie that he's composed for, but of those that I have seen the score was always great.

He's definitely one of my favorites and one of the greats. I always put him, Elfman and Williams up there as my top three.

Soldierone4815d ago

Hans Zimmer have to promise anything less? lol, its Hans its going to be awesome.

The Iron Sheik4814d ago

Zimmer is the new John Williams. I have never heard a bad score from him.
