Everything Del Toro does is golden. Stop motion = win.

Sunny_D4814d ago (Edited 4814d ago )

Yup, but I hate Pinnochio, lol. I always wished he would get thrown in a wood chipper for his lies. That ticked me off back when I was a kid.

JL4814d ago

I like a lot of his work, but I wouldn't say everything del Toro does is golden. I didn't care for Mimic at all.

Yeah I might have exaggerated a little bit there haha. I do enjoy the mans work though.

I personally haven't seen mimic. I'll check it out and see how I feel about it.

I can already tell, that this new version is likely to give me nightmares. Still it sounds very cool.

JL4814d ago

Pinocchio meets del Toro. Could be interesting indeed.

Soldierone4814d ago

This looks friggin awesome lol, I was never a fan of this story but might have to check it out.

K I'm new here but I don't really get why my title was edited for this (and other) articles. It shouldn't have to be the exact title from the article provided.

I wouldn't even click on this article if I didn't know Del Toro was involved and his name was in the title for a reason. Now it's just plain old pinocchio that nobody cares about.

I thought the point was to get people to read the article.

JL4814d ago (Edited 4814d ago )

Per the guidelines, yes the title should always be the same.
http://filmwatch.com/site/n...

The reason is for the very reason you mentioned there. While your intent may not have been malicious/scheming, if we allow people to change titles just think how some will change it to crazy sensationalist titles just to draw attention to their articles that wouldn't otherwise deserve it.

Besides, Del Toro is mentioned in the description. And most will read that as well. So his name-power is still there to draw people in.
