Push-Start: True Grit – Review

Ailsa Travers Writes: The latest Coen-brothers offering is the re-telling of the 1968 novel ‘True Grit’, and re-make of the 1969 film that won John Wayne his only Academy Award. A classic western, with classic western roles, it tells the story of a head-strong and stubborn 14 year old girl, Mattie Ross (Steinfeld) who, after her father is shot dead by outlaw Tom Chaney (Brolin) goes on the hunt for vengeance, hiring an aged US Marshal, Reuben ‘Rooster’ Cogburn (Bridges), to help her along the way.
