With Vanishing On 7th Street opening this week, We Got This Covered sits down with director Brad Anderson to discuss the film. Anderson, most well known for his film The Machinist, has crafted some pretty great films. He was behind not only The Machinist, but also Session 9 and Transsiberian. Brad has also been involved in a number of TV shows including The Shield, Treme, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire and Fringe.
Deadline: Rosamund Pike is attached to star in Tony Gilroy’s Beirut-set political thriller High Wire Act. Tony Gilroy has written the script and will produce alongside Mike Weber and Ted Field. Good Universe is handling international sales. Ted Field’s Radar Pictures announced the news today.

WWE Studios and Troika Pictures, LLC today announced they will co-produce and co-finance the upcoming thriller, The Hive, starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin.
The thriller, to be directed by Brad Anderson (The Machinist, Transsiberian), was written by Rich D�Ovidio (Exit Wounds, Thir13en Ghosts) and based upon a story by Rich D�Ovidio, Nicole D�Ovidio and Jon Bokencamp.
Emergency Call Center Operator Jordan (Berry) takes a call from Casey (Breslin) a teenage girl who has been abducted and carried away in the trunk of a car. The kidnapping plays out in real time as Jordan and Casey work together to track down the killer in this high stakes thriller.
First I've heard of this. Halle Berry really hasn't done anything too memorable recently.
The Collider:
Halle Berry is set to lead the suspense-thriller The Hive for The Machinist director Brad Anderson. According to Variety, Berry will play “911 emergency operator who must face her own fears in order to save a teenage girl from a disturbed killer.” We reported in January that Joel Schumacher had dropped off the project and been replaced by Anderson. Berry had also dropped out due to scheduling, but now she’s back on board since the start date has been pressed back. Filming is set to begin in June in Los Angeles.
She hasn't done a lead part in a while so this might be good...we'll have to wait and see.
