Tonight I was invited to an advanced screening for the film “The Mechanic,” starring Jason Statham and Ben Foster, and I must say I was extremely pleased with the film.
I really like Jason Statham as an actor, but his movies (especially the Crank films) tend to annoy me with their overly macho over-tones, the paper thin plot, and the repetitive nature of the dialogue. While this film was definitely in the same genre that Statham is comfortable working in this film just turned out a lot better than I would have thought.
