Top DVD/Blu-ray Sales and Rentals for the Week Ending January 23, 2011

So it’s another week and, again, we have the lists for the the top selling and most rented movies released last week. These charts come from data collected from the week ending January 23, 2011. Last week’s sales see newcomer Takers taking over the top spot, knocking The Social Network down to second place. Fellow newcomer Death Race 2 makes its debut at number three. Meanwhile, two animated films round out the top 5 with Despicable Me at #4 and Alpha and Omega at #5. Oddly enough, my favorite release of the week, Buried doesn’t even break the top ten.
