Well, as you may or may not know, the premiere screening for Kevin Smith’s Red State at Sundance Film Festival just ended not long ago. Following that, Kevin had a Q&A after the screening. With news pouring in all over Twitter, it has now been revealed that during this conference, Kevin Smith has announced his retirement as a director. He stated the Hit Somebody will be the last film he makes.
As a filmmaker, lifelong comic book fan, and someone who has played in the Arrowverse, Kevin Smith knows a thing or two about the Dark Knight.

I hope he's just messing around. I'm really hopeful for another Clerks movie. Personally I'm a really big fan of his and can't say that I didn't enjoy all (still haven't seen Cop Out) his movies to some capacity.
