Rentrak has released the newest update on the best-selling and most rented movies. These lists are constructed from data for the week of January 3-9, 2011. In something of a surprise, the grindhouse movie Machete tops last week as the best-selling movie for the entire week. This is followed by fellow newcomer Dinner for Schmucks. Meanwhile, Despicable Me still holds strong in the third spot, while The Last Exorcism and Salt round out the top 5.
