From Shakefire: "Brother Dickie Eklund (Christian Bale) and Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg) are boxers from the small town of Lowell, Massachusetts. At one point, Dickie when toe-to-toe with boxing phenomenon Sugar Ray Leonard, earning him the nickname, The Pride of Lowell. Things haven't been the same since then though, as he has fallen to crack addiction.
Micky however, is making a comeback to his boxing career, but his brother/sparring partner is holding him back, along with the rest of his family. Can Micky push against all odds and win the Welterweight Championship title or will his crazed family end his boxing career for good?"
